Education
    Francesco Buscemi obtained the PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2006, with the thesis "Optimization and Realization of Quantum Devices". Until October 2008, he contributed as a researcher to the ERATO-SORST Quantum Computation and Information Project in Tokyo, led by Prof. Hiroshi Imai and funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency. He then moved to Cambridge, UK, as research associate at the Statistical Laboratory of the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Since November 2009, he is Designated Associate Professor at the Institute for Advanced Research of Nagoya University.
